World’s 14th highest fresh water lake at a height of nearly 17490 feet above mean sea level is located in North Sikkim. As per extant rule, no foreign nationals are allowed to visit the lake owing to security reason, being in near proximity to Tibet border, excepting certain exceptional cases. Indian nationals are required to obtain Special Tourist Permit to visit the lake. Also known as Tso Lhamu Lake, this lake has depth of nearly 5.5 meter and is located at a distance of about 6 Km away from Gurudongmar Lake. Once you reach the majestic lake, you have plethora of beauties of snow clad mountains to enjoy which goes beyond any rhetoric explanations.
